Orchesis offers Saint Ignatius students with a professional-level platform to explore and refine their artistry. The group emphasizes technical growth, peer collaboration, and versatility across a wide range of genres, including contemporary, jazz, ballet, modern, and hip hop. By partnering with choreographers in the Chicago dance community and our distinguished alumni network, Orchesis offers a unique mentorship experience as students prepare for their Spring semester performance. From August to February, dancers immerse themselves in a collaborative creative process, honing their technique and discipline. This intensive season culminates in a high-caliber concert dance production, where students showcase their growth and passion for the Saint Ignatius community.

Dance is for everybody. I believe that dance came from the people and should always be delivered back to the people.
