Marc went on to play college basketball at the Naval Academy and Howard University and is currently president of the National Basketball Referees Association.

Marc's wife, Julie Garvey '86, and his three children, Noah '22, Jadon '21 and Elijah '20, all attended school at 1076. Marc has also remained an active member of the Tolton Society and recently participated in a Business Society panel alongside fellow alums in sports and business, including ESPN commentator Michael Wilbon '76, former NBA player Kendall Gill and Chicago Sky Basketball Operations Manager, Maggie Maloney '14.

"The resilience is instilled," Marc said on the panel. "And there's a beauty of this school that is a direct reflection of the connections and the kinship. This is why alumni shout 'Ignatius' to me at the arenas on the road."
